days 8 - 12

well i got through the london trip!

went down to see dirty dancing for trudis 40th birthday. Got through a million temptations - lunch, 3 course meal, alcohol etc etc

the worst bit was wandering round covernt garden with all the smells from the food stalls.

when i got home hubby was scoffing pizza :-(

i really do feel ok tho - just want to start seeing a diff with my clothes!!!!!

days 6 & 7

Lost 8lbs!!!
First week weigh in.

Really pleased, lowest in the group but i don't care, i'm smaller than the rest.
we had 4 more with us tonight, the room is quite crowded, but they seem nice.

can't type too much as i have really achy fingers - maybe i need the cider vinegar tablets more than i thought!

Looking forward to trying a bar tomorrow

Day 5

Another day down!
95 to go...

Felt a bit tired this afternoon, but probably just sundayitis.

All shakes were nice, have tasted them all now - except the chicken soup, will try that before the meeting sometime.

Went to the cinema to see 'bride wars' - had a black coffee there instead of popcorn - was actually nice.

Have been cold again, dug out a big old gap sweatshirt and been snuggled in that all day.

Anyway, my bed is calling

Day 4

OMG - have lost 6lbs already - thats after 3.5 days

The most ever at a slimming club before was 3lb in a week

Everyone else in the group had lost 7lbs so it was shame I hadn't too - but never mind, its still amamzing!!!

A strange day being a weekend. Everyone was cooking and eating all morning.

T decided that she wanted to learn how to cook this weekend. Typical. I have been trying to interest her in it for months and she decides to choose today.

So, i showed her how to make scrambled eggs - she then showed H how to do them - they looked delicious, just right.
Then, she decides she wants to make a cake.
A gorgeous, choc iced sponge.

TBH it looked as good as any I've ever made and N said it was the best he's tasted for ages.

Great.

I just pretended I'd had some and looked jealously on as they stuffed their faces!!!

Anyway, was worth it when I got to the pop in.

I'm in ketosis - weeing on the stick was interesting - guess there is an art to it. I managed to wee mostly on my hand. Nice.

The two restarters didn't come but the other 4 did. 2 left quickly but me and another stopped for a chat which was good.

I swopped a tomato soup for a chicken - which is veggie

I had a bit of a wobble this afternoon - not hungry in the slightest, but just got a bit sad when I thought about the social side of eating. Saturdays we usually plan a nice meal etc

It was OK tho. N stayed in and we watched a couple of dvds - me under a blanket as i was cold. my nose is freezing!

I decided to treat myself to some'chocolate' - frozen shake. looked like a cowpat, tasted ok but too sweet and too much of it.

Day 3

Breakfast raspberry shake at work 9.30
Lunch veg soup 1.30
marigold drink 5pm
vanilla shake plus shot of espresso 6.00 - with ice, very nice
thai chilli soup 9.15pm - nice

no headache, no tiredness, metallic taste in mouth - maybe in ketosis?

But.......... am in a bad bad mood!!!!
very short tempered and snappy.
Good job the kids didn't get in til late and i was in the bath.

looking forward to the stop in tomorrow - wonder how much i have lost????

Day 2...

98 to go

breakfast was a raspberry shake made up at 9.15 at work - nice
lunch - veg soup at 1.30, added psyllium, bit too thick, but ok flavour
marigold drink when i made kids tea
strawberry shake at 6pm - very sweet
hot chocolate - ok
2 cups of green tea
1 espresso
2.5 litres of water

Really surprised that i didn't actually feel hungry today - well maybe a tiny bit, but certainly not ravenous as i thought i would.

I did have a massive headache this afternoon tho, but came back to work at home and slept for 3 hours and felt fine when i woke up.

Went round to a friends tonight for a couple of hours and now off to bed.

Day 1 - Lumpy Lumps!!!

Well - how crap am I at making shakes?!!!
Breakfast was a disaster - vanilla shake, tasted foul. Full of lumps and way too sweet bleuuuugghh!

I added a shot of espresso in the vain hope it would make a difference, but no, still gloopy lumpy yuk!

Lunch wasn't much better - everyone at the conference I was at disappeared for a 3 course lunch and I sat alone, surreptitiously mixing a chocolate shake in a coffee cup - getting most of it on my laptop and the table.
The lumps were worse, but at least they were chocolately tasting lumps. I think I may actually like it made properly!

Tea was a mushroom soup made at home using the blender. Nice and smooth, black pepper added. Not bad.

Supper was banana with added psyllium husks. A bit sweet, but lovely and thick and creamy.

Water 2.5l plain
300ml coffee
plus shekes/soups 1.5l ish

Long bath, no headache, lots of wees!
